Itsawhatsit is a It's a Boy!

Okay, to some, I'm delayed in spreading the good news. I am knee deep in school work right now and have neglected the family blog. So it's 1 in the morning and I'm trying to update everyone on Baby Fowler. Yes, Steve will have his first son; Mason Ray Fowler. I had my second ultrasound later than usual and it started to eat at me that I really wanted to know. I'm glad we know because it seemed to jump start Steve and I actually planning for his arrival. For example, Mason has clothes now! Thanks to my Mom who sacrificed her $50 Macy's gift card she received for Christmas, Steve and I had a chance to buy real department store clothes. Of course, I was totally lost as I had no clue what size to get; 0-3 or 3-6 months? Mom came to the rescue and said to buy the clothes a little bigger since Mason has all winter to grow into them. Steve's solution to Mom's suggestion was to purchase 7X in boy's and just keep the sleeves and leggings rolled up. He was hilarious and I could not stop cracking up laughing in the store! We also visited Goodwill on the way home and bought onesies which ended up being only $.50. We also fund a cute outfit at BJ's (our warehouse store where Steve and I buy our bulk items) for only $5.99.
Ick, it was also that time again where I had to allow Steve to showcase my ever expanding waistline. I was having a bad hair day, so I did not allow any pictures that included my head.

Mason ranks in the 33rd percentile as far as weight so he's a little small. You couldn't tell that from the size of my belly! Already the poor sap hasn't even made his theatrical debut and he's already being judged.

It's a little dark, but can you tell who's belly is who's? I'm not really sure what Bubbles is doing, but it looks funny.

morgan's poem's

color poem
green is the color of hot summer grass,
a flower stem blooming on a nice spring day,
a little grasshopper chirping on a nice wedneday,
green is the smell of fall leaves,
and the smell of cucumber seeds,
the smell of a nice windy breeze,
green is the sound of birds chirping away,
the sound of an alligator at the zoo,
the sound of a tractor on a very warm day,
green tastes like a nice minty ice cream,
like a spring green lollipop,
green feels like soft just mowed grass,
like blowing bubbles,
and like the green fluffy grass in a Easter basket.
STAY TUNED FOR MORE OF MY POEM'S VERY SOON!!!

We are Wearing our Future

How do we know that Steve and I love one another? Well, just look at our slippers. On a daily basis, we model old man and old lady comfy slippers around our house. My right shoe has been permanently scarred by bleach. We love our slippers so much, we are constantly searching for them when they are not on our feet. I love making Steve trip out of his old man foot rockets whenever I chase him up the steps as this totally freaks him out. Our footwear is neither fancy nor expensive, but it's all we need.

Our house shoes are representative of us. We are comfortable together. We are not fancy nor live a financially extravagant life. We are always looking for one another when the other isn't around. Just as our slippers follow us everywhere, we follow one another everywhere. Steve and I have only spent a few days apart when his great grandmother, Nan, died and when I had to fly to Massachusetts for an overnight work trip. Giving one another a kiss in the morning is like slipping into your comfy soles. It just feels good. Once you find a good pair of toe covers, it becomes irreplaceable no matter how much wear or tear it will endure. For me, Steve is my irreplaceable toe covers! He is all I need. I love you, my darling.

Down the Hill We Go.

It was another snow day here in Pennsyltucky. I had the joy of going into work while Steve got to participate in the girl's snow day. I took the 4x4 and left them stranded so they hitched a ride with the neighbor, J.J., and off they went to go sledding. The video clip is what Steve took of the girls and J.J. (J.J. pictured in the middle) sledding down the hill. The girls had an awesome time. Later in the day, R.B. earned $10 by shoveling the driveway.

The message below is from Bubbles:

At the hill i had the best time!
